District Administration, Bokaro

Bokaro District is one of the district of Jharkhand state which came into existence in 1991. The Deputy Commissioner is the head of District administration. He also acts as the Collector in case of Revenue matters, as District Development Commissioner in case of District Developmental works, as District Magistrate in case of maintenance of Law and Order and General Administration, as District Election Officer in case of conduct of Election and so on.

Sub Divisional Offices

Two Sub Divisional Officers (SDO's) work at the sub division to provide administrative support at the local level. Bokaro district has two sub-divisions which are :

Block Administration,Bokaro

Bokaro district is divided into 9 blocks which are the developmental units. Each block has a Block Development Officer who is the  representatives of the district administration in the rural areas.
